Authorship & Contributorship Policy

SINOV : Media Informasi Penelitian Kabupaten Semarang enforces an authorship policy to ensure that every individual listed as an author has a verifiable scientific contribution.

1

General Authorship Provisions

Authorship reflects intellectual contribution to the research, not merely academic status, position, or administrative support.

The determination of authors must be transparent, fair, and mutually agreed upon. All authors bear full responsibility for the integrity of the article.

2

Authorship Requirements

Individuals listed as authors must meet all of the following criteria:

  1. Make a substantial contribution to the conception or design of the research, data collection, analysis, or interpretation of results.
  2. Engage in drafting the manuscript or critically revising its scientific substance.
  3. Provide approval for the final version of the manuscript to be published.
  4. Be willing to take responsibility for the integrity of the work and help resolve any questions regarding the accuracy or validity of the research.

* Individuals who only provide funding, facilities, administrative assistance, or general supervision are not entitled to be listed as authors, but may be mentioned in the Acknowledgements section.

3

Author Contributions and Order

Each author must provide accurate information regarding their contribution. SINOV :Media Informasi Penelitian Kabupaten Semarang encourages the use of the Contributor Roles Taxonomy (CRediT).

The order of authors is determined based on mutual agreement and academic contribution, not based on degree, title, seniority, or position.

4

Corresponding Author

The corresponding author is responsible for:

  1. Submitting the article via the OJS system.
  2. Ensuring the consent of all authors.
  3. Communicating review progress/editorial decisions to all authors.
  4. Ensuring the accuracy of article metadata.

* Responsibility for the quality of the work remains with all authors, not just the corresponding author.

5

Changes to Authorship

The addition, removal, or rearrangement of author names after submission must be submitted in writing to the editor with a valid reason and the consent of all listed authors.

Changes after publication can only be made through an editorial correction procedure.

6

Prohibited Practices

  • Gift/Honorary Authorship: Listing authors without scientific contribution.
  • Ghost Authorship: Omitting individuals who actually meet the author criteria.
  • Authorship Manipulation: Illegitimately altering the author arrangement.
  • Use of False Identity/Affiliation: Providing incorrect information regarding author identity or affiliation.
7

Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technologies

Generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools cannot be listed as authors as they cannot fulfill the requirement of academic accountability. Human authors remain entirely responsible for all generated material.

The use of AI that substantially influences the preparation or analysis must be transparently disclosed within the manuscript.

This policy applies to all manuscripts submitted to SINOV : Media Informasi Penelitian Kabupaten Semarang.
